Visiting & opening hours
What are Silver Arcade's opening times?
Monday – Saturday 8am – 6pm, Sunday 10am – 4pm (bank holiday times vary). N.B. Please note the above are arcade opening times please check individual shops for their opening times as these may vary.
Are you open on Sundays and bank holidays?
Yes 10am – 4pm (we are closed on Easter Sunday, Christmas day, boxing day and New Years day).
Are you open over Christmas and New Year?
Yes normal opening times apply except that we are closed on Christmas day, boxing day and New Years day,

Getting there & parking
Is there parking near Silver Arcade?
Yes there are several public car parks in Leicester city centre, the nearest ones being The Highcross, The Haymarket and St Nicholas Circle.
Where are the nearest car parks?

How do I get to Silver Arcade by train?
Leicester city train station is a 10-15 minute walk away. Walk towards the city centre via Granby Street and head for the clock tower, the Silver Arcade will be on your right hand side opposite Café Nero.
Can I get there by bus or coach?
Coaches come into Leicester via St Margarets bus station which is a 5 – 10 minute walk from the station.
Buses arrive into the city centre via both st Margarets bus station and The Haymarket bus station. Both are a 5 -10 minute walk away from the arcade.
How far is the arcade from the train station / Highcross / the Clock Tower?
The arcade is a 10 -15 minute walk from Leicester City train station and faces both the Clock tower and the Highcross Shopping centre.
Accessibility
Is Silver Arcade wheelchair accessible?
Yes, from street level with lifts going to all floors.
Is there step-free access to all floors?
Lift access available.
Are there lifts in the arcade?
Yes we have lift access to all floors in the arcade. (N.B. Whilst we try to maintain constant lift access, from time to time lifts do break down and may be out of action whilst undergoing repairs.)
Are there accessible toilets?
Yes.
Are assistance dogs welcome?
Yes.
Shops & facilities
What shops are in Silver Arcade?
A variety of independent local shops which vary from a deli, hairdressers, a 3d printer and a gaming arcade to name a few. Details of current shops are listed on the ‘Our Shops‘ pages of the website.
Are the shops independent businesses?
Yes they are all independent local businesses which we are proud to support.
Is there anywhere to eat or grab a coffee?
Yes we have a fabulous deli on the ground floor next to the Cank Street entrance and level 2 (on the 2nd floor) – it has it’s own café (please see shops specific opening times).
Are there public toilets?
No.
Is there a cashpoint nearby?
Yes, there are various cashpoints throughout the city centre including one in The Highcross shopping centre – plus various banks close to the clock tower.
Are dogs allowed in the arcade?
No, only guide dogs are permitted.
Do all the shops open at the same time as the arcade?
No, each business has it’s own opening times and days please, refer to specific shop, as listed on the Our Shops page, for further information.
About the arcade
What is Silver Arcade? / What makes it special?
It’s one of only 2, four storey arcades in UK and is full of local independent businesses which you will not find anywhere else. The Silver Arcade has always been known for its individual and sometimes quirky shops and as a place to hang out in Leicester City centre

It is a Grade 2 listed building.

Can I hire space in the arcade for an event or pop-up?
Please speak to our agents who can let you know what units are available.
Do you host markets or events?
Generally no, as we do not have sufficient communal space. However some of the shops host their own events from time to time.
